Addition

The process of finding the sum of two numbers or qunatities is called addition. The two quantities involved are called the addend and the augend. The symbol representing addition is +.
 
The addition of two numbers, a and b in algebra is denoted by a + b. So, 2 + 3 = 5.
 
When two odd numbers are added together, the answer will always be an even number.
When two even numbers are added together, the answer will always be an even number.
When an odd number and an even number are added together, the number will always be odd.
