Factor

  1. The factors of a natural number, x, are those numbers which can be multiplyed together to produce x. For example, the factors of 16 are 1, 2, 4 and 8 (1x16=16, 2x8=16 and 4x4=16). Usually, unity is included, but the original number x is not.
